Generating meaningful revenue from your app is hard... really hard.

We wouldn't want you to get the wrong idea and think that $100,000 in AppStore earnings is easy. Nothing could be further from the truth. But what easy things are actually worth doing?

Our apps were consistently under-performing, and most of them fizzled down to 1 or 2 sales a month, nothing. It's a familiar story for lots of app developers worldwide.

We've had dozens of apps on the store, and made plenty of mistakes, but in doing so we've also found what works well. In July 2013 one single app update more than doubled our overnight revenue (see the sales chart above).

We was able to focus on exactly who our audience were, and what made them purchase... More importantly with enough effort, this could apply to almost any app on the store, if you're willing to put the work in.
